In this episode of ONE BROKEN LIFE, John Stroup talks with Andy. Raised in a good home, Andy was a military brat, raised in church, but had a tumultuous relationship with his father. After his parents divorced, his mother worked hard and put herself through law school. Moving back and forth between parents, Andy made a series of poor choices. He was officially a drunk dad. At the same time, Andy’s mom served as the Greene County Drug Court Judge for 18 years. In this episode of ONE BROKEN LIFE, John Stroup talks with Zach. Zach seems like an average smart guy, and at a glance you would never know that he has an addictive background. Starting around 19 or 20 years old, Zach started heavily drinking. Without having a father figure in his life to serve as a good example, he allowed his resentment towards his own father to be an excuse to spiral out of control. He tried cocaine for the first time at 24. At the age of 26, Zach found himself homeless, without anything. God brought Zach to Freeway Ministries, and God used his act of faith to drastically change his life. Listen and be encouraged as you listen to Zach’s story of redemption.

He started drinking young and quickly moved to drugs. He entered rehab for the first time at the age of 19. He stole from everyone; the drug dealers and his own family. This month, John Stroup, and his wife Sharla, went to Orlando Florida to celebrate the one year anniversary of Freeway Orlando and Freeway Sanford. While they were there, they recorded this episode of the podcast with Josh and Alex Zuniga. Josh is one of the first graduates of the Freeway Discipleship House. Josh and Alex are now Freeway missionaries to Florida. We are so excited to watch all that God is doing through this ministry.

After an overdose that almost took his life, him and his wife made a drastic life change. EJ is now committed to sharing the Gospel and serving people in the community.
